NBD squier mustang bass and looking for a pickguard in EU

Post by Johnny Noir »

i received this morning a sunburst squier mustang bass. Pictures are coming soon.

really amazing. Easy to set up with bigger strings. Nice thin neck to play for a guitarist. Sounds like a Precision. Lot of sustain. Nice finitions.
I compared with a fender mustang from 77 (that a friend borrow to me). I prefer the squier!!! crazy.
first bass i've own was a squier precision, 12 years ago, amazing sound, especially when i reheard the past recordings and live videos. Then i've had a fender cij mustang and a fender musicmaster '74. I never like their sounds but nice to play. Now, i'm really happy with that squier, it sounds like my first bass but it has better finitions. and i save money!
i'm a pixies fan but i prefer shorscales.

but i'm not fan of that black pickguard. I'd prefer a pearl or a tort. Do you know a plan to buy one max 30€ with shipping in EU? I've seen 50€ on ebay but i think it's stupid to spend 20% of the bass price. I bought it 250€ (inc shipping) in perfect condition.

i've already change the knobs for some vintage mustang. don't like the strat knobs they put on it.

ps: again, sorry for my poor english writting, you know french people.....

The only thing I didn't understand was "Nice finitions." Qu'est-ce que c'est en Français?
