I'd probably agree with that. The horns are too horny and thin looking, not natural. They look sort of flimsy. To be honest, my favorite superstrat is probably a straight Stratocaster modded to fuck with a floyd and humbuckers.

I think the Ibanez shape still looks good, it's just not my favorite of them.

In a good way? I'm pretty sure the dots...glow in the dark...which was a big 90's rage if anyone remembers.

You're looking at a boring old bog standard Universe when that Tailrock website/store has a 1987 RF RG550 in stock!!

This is, in my opinion, the coolest superstrat style guitar around.

Is this a valuable guitar in the western world??? They're not asking too much for it in Japan.

It's more nostalgia value more than anything. RG's go for anything between £250 to £450 in the UK. A plain black one went yesterday on ebay for £465 iirc and that's the highest price I've seen in a long time. Even Laser Blue models don't get that much.

That doesn't look too bad actually. I dig the maple fretboard.

The weird thing with seven stringers is, every time I see a pic of one my brain says, "looks photoshopped." I can't get used to the look of 'em.

Ah i see, I'm surprised they're not worth more. I seem to remember a few of the reissues going for 1,000 on ebay.
