So that saga guitar kit i posted about a couple of days ago has arrived and I've already started work. I sketched on the tele headstock shape with a pencil and cut it out today with a jigsaw (all i had). I've been spending most of the day sanding the edges and getting it as close to a real tele as possible. It's still a little rough but it's getting there.
Pretty open minded about the finish at this stage, but I'd like to get a black pickguard and go down the brice springsteen route. Any suggestions?
I'm also planning on upgrading the pickups when it's finished, so does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like a general nice tele sound that can handle a bit of beef, a nice graham coxon sound or whatever.
