Finally got the 500K SS Pots.. Now just waiting on the paint, I have all the parts now. The paint should be done some time within the next few days STOKED.

Anyone know how to fix this to without using bigger screws like I have tried already?... The Texas special mounting holes got stripped.. Fucking expensive pickup and the mounting hole is plastic. I don't get Fenders logic. That's the same shit with a Duncan Dimebucker.. I had the same problem.
Can you find nuts the right thread to fix/weld to the underside of the holes? Just thinking out loud here.
I was guessing that it was a standard kind of bolt, like the 3354, 0564 and 4386 at Stewmac here. I thought if you had some nuts that would fit on that thread you could pass the bolt through the stripped hole into the nut. You'd need to stop the nut rotating somehow; if you know what height you want your pickup at you could fix it by using a nut each side of the plastic and a couple of slip-proof washers

yeah I think this what I'm going to have to end up doing. Right now it's at the end of a thread of a big screw but it's a little high. I'll see how it goes once I put the strings on.

You stripped the thread on your pickup?
Just drip some glue in the hole, to partially fill.
After its dry just screw your screws as normal.
The screws will cut their own thread.
Got the body. I seem to have forgot to tell him that I wanted sparkle in the paint lol but no big deal it's a nice Dakota redish color now and a fiesta red color in the sunlight. But its so nice it looks professional. Like it came right out of the factory!
You could always screw a hex nut onto the bottom of the height screw and send it right up against the underside of the pickup, I've done that for a Super Distortion (metal mounting tabs strip too) in a Les Paul and it's very solid.

What do yu guys think about the color? I think it still looks pretty awesome with out the sparkle in it. The painter really did great though. Once I put it together I couldn't believe how much it looked like a brand new Fender. Once I get it wired up I'll post a demo.
