i would say candy apple red, because one of my guitars are CAR and it can look this way sometimes in photographs.

Tho chime in on this, it seems like Squier is using some tinted poly on these new Vintage Modifieds. It's really apparent on the Candy Apple Red, Sonic Blue, and Olympic White finishes. Some end up tinted more, which gives you a rusty CAR, or a slight green hue to Sonic Blue, or puts the Olympic White closer to Arctic White.

There's definitely some variation though - my CAR Jazzmaster and CAR Jaguar are two totally different shades. The Jazzmaster being slightly more red than the one in the Fender video, and the Jaguar being really close to traditional CAR.

Yeah - definitely a very vintage looking CAR. Much like a lot of the old CAR Jazzmasters you see. Slightly rusty, but still some deep red tones. I really like it on my VM Jazzmaster - it works well on it.
