"jawnshop" MusicMaster - now Bilinda Master!
hey guys... remember the "jawnshop" rich bought off ebay a while ago? well i then bought it off him... you KNOW i can't resist them modded beaters like this one.
it had previously been modded/routed for humbuckers, a floyd rose or so with springs in the back, and a HUGE control cavity between the bridge and the usual control plate. those holes were plugged with some chunks of wood, yada yada.
and then i got my hands on it.
neck pup was not working, so i changed it for another old no-name one.
i would usually never mod a 40 year old guitar, but since pretty much nothing on this one is original (body wood about 50-60%) i said screw it.
I NEED TEH VIBRAHTO.
i had an old 60s jag tailpiece laying around and decided to go for it.
so i took the body with me to my 3-week stay in costa rica and had my friend Roberto route it.
BILINDA'd!!!
i just finished 'er today. DANG what a hottie.
what worries me a bit is that all the plug/routes are starting to somehow crack open. i guess one smash/drop and it disintegrates...
so careful with that axe, pat.
better sunshine pics coming tomorrow!
thanks SS for making this possible!!!
love,
Pat.

my name is Pat.
so but now... dilemma starts.
i'm not so sure about the 2x buckers and the über-clean white look of the guard.
so i got some beat up old ones and playing with some ideas.
quick cheap mock-ups in the dark, so you get the idea.
NOW
beat to shit, tobacco-stained, warped and chipped mustang guard (i do have a hotrail bucker that i might put in there...)
OR
modded 70s with bucker in the neck and/or hotrail in brige.
whaddya think?
thnx,
Pat.
my name is Pat.

Hey bud, white and red get soldered together and taped. Black is hot and green is ground UNLESS you are mixing it with a fender pickup. Then you want Green to be hot and Black to ground. Bare wire goes to ground with your other ground. Hot goes on the switch where the previous pickup's hot went.Pacafeliz wrote:hmmm... i think i'll want the old pearl guard with a hotrail in the neck. it'll look PERFECT!
but... how do i wire this onto the switch? there's a red, green, black, white, and the ground cable...
?! help?!
