I bought one for my Mustang project. Nice to not have to hunt down everything individually.

They are a little longer for sure. I have Bronco Knobs so it covers them.

you can shorten the shafts by putting more washers or nuts on the pot on the underside of the control plate.

of course I wouldn't blame you for just trying to get the correct pots in the first place. to be honest I wouldn't bother with CTS; just get alpha pots they are the same quality but cheaper.

I prefer the stiffer resistance of the CTS taper to Alphas, especially on a Strat. There's no other difference in practice though. It's well annoying having to buy different washers/knobs/control plates or pickguards or go drilling stuff, etc...

If you have to use washers to shorten a CTS shaft remember to buy the right ones. OOOO that gets on my tits when I've got a mismatch, had reverse problem replacing the pots in my JS last week (replaced alpha minis with metric pots of a sliiiightly different shaft diameter, merely to change the value but only had one type of pot around).
