ENJOY. I was shooting demos for TWO instruments and two new pedals all in one go, so forgive me if I'm a little scattered...
Anyway, highly recommended!

Are you playing through a guitar or bass amp with the Ultra VI? Or is it the LOVE BUZZ and it doesn't matter?

A big old GK amp, and a big old single 15" speaker cab.

Are you still using the strings that came with it? I suggest the LaBella HC-6S or HC-6N (whether you prefer stainless or nickel), they're a much better string. They're a little heavier, so might tighten up your low D floppies. I'll try tuning mine down and give you my impressions on tightness.

Yep, using the stock strings. Ill be replacing the lowest one, for sure. I'm tempted to try a whole new set, but it kind of depends on if this thing becomes a part of our live show.

Huge sondz.

Can't imagine a better dude/band to have a thumper like that given as a gift, will love to see/hear the results of a fatter low and less flacid E D string. Also great to see Aen standard translating just fine overall when dragged down low into the netherworld of detunings. Now to consider if I really need one over a baritone conversion.

The LaBella strings are only about $7 for the set; incredible value, as they're also great quality strings (best strings for these VIs on the market, imo).
