Bronco body

Post by medicinebleu »

I just picked up a bronco body, was curious to find a good neck, w/o spending loads. I found a squire cyclone neck- would that fit?

Not without adjusting the bridge location. Cyclones are 24.75 whereas Broncos are 24.00. Search Ebay for "proper" shortscales (24.00)

OK thanks for the info Mo- looks like I will search for any used jaguar, duo sonic, short scales on ebay or the pawn shops. I don't want to spend much and am always looking for deals. Taylornutt- The Bronco body does not have a trem in it. I am searching for one of those as well. I just have a body.

Good Luck. That could be one of the hardest vintage parts to find.

I'm starting to realize that- I guess I could always fill the cavity and rout it for a mustang trem.... or a tornado bridge. I'm really interested in making a great guitar w/ little investment- this is my second guitar project. I had a blast w/ the first one (a tele) now I'm going after a garage rock special. Debating looking for a used ebay neck or getting a $140 jaguar replacement neck.

I have a couple of the parts, but not near enough to make a full trem. Just the spring and base plate.

I really need to make so replacements.

No but at that price I might take a shot, especially if it's the elusive Maple Stang neck. They also do Lefty necks which would be great for Supersonic projects.
