Toro-Stang

Post by Awstin »

So, I came up with a new concept with a mashup of a Toronado, mustang, jaguar, and a jazzmaster,

I really like the looks of the new upside down jag bass and the firebird looks so I took the top horn of a jaguar
and placed it on the bottom of the body, then moved it back to the end of the neck. I added a mustang horn
to the top where the jag horn was. I kept a jag trem and bridge but put a mustang style (top of the guard) on it.
For the bottom I did something similar to a firebird and threw a toggle there. I went with jazzmaster pickups instead
of my original design with humbuckers. I rounded the guard all together so it looks so nice and futuristic. Complete it
with a toronado/les paul style (2 tone, 2 volume) knobs in all that space there on the lower butt. Behold the Toro-Stang!

Cool. I like it, but I would want the pots pickguard mounted, but I like the design none the less.

Jeebus that's even uglier than the OG Jagstang! Maybe if you made the lower waist less pronounced it'd balance the look better. The shallow top waist with the huge bottom one really fucks up the flow. This could be sweet with some tweaking, at the moment it looks like 3 or 4 different pictures just randomly jammed together. the bottom wing looks like it's from an Explorer.

BTW I'm not trying to troll or be a downer, I love to see people trying new things. It's just my opinion and in the end it's really only yours that counts ;)

Yeah. It's cool. It's just a fucked up crazy mash up. I wasn't going for anything crazy with it. Some tweeking I think is needed but I don't really wanna do it lol. If anyone wants to tweek the body shape in photoshop for me, thanks lol. I probably wouldn't build it. Just another concept.

Yeah, that lower horn is crazy! A mustang or even jag style would look awesome. Really nice concept though.

You have successfully made a guitar uglier than the Jag-stang. Looks like a Cross between a Jag-stang and Ibanez Talman.
