What nylon strings?

Post by NickS »

I don't play them myself, but elder daughter says she needs a new set of nylon strings for a guitar that cost a few hundred Euros when she was in France (I haven't seen it yet).

Any suggestions please?

D'addario Pro Arte Normal tension. If you want them to last months and months then EXP Pro Arte.

If they're good enough for David Russell they're good enough for me.

D addario pro arte hard tension give me the most projection, and they`re not much harder to play on my classical. I get the ones with black nylon strings... 8)

My classical teacher always recommended Savarez Alliance normal tension. Sound great, last ages. I always get them.

I just put a new set of EXP Hard tension on and remembered how much I love these strings. They're a bit pricey but they last for ages.

I went up a gauge cos I'm tough...

The normal tensions weren't in stock and I haven't noticed much difference between the two gauges.
