Biyang Effects - Mad Driver overdrive - TS clone

Post by othomas2 »

I'm not sure this'll go down too well here but this caught my eye. Sounds pretty good to me:

Anyone had any experience with them ?

I hear some attachments are made with Arctec & GFS pedals.

Sounds good to me. More saturation than a TS9 though, sounds more like the 'Hot' mode of a TS7.
How much do they go for?

The biyangs make for gfs/artec and those new akai custom shop pedals. I was tempted by the delay pedal, before I got the belcat.

Is someone having a snide dig by putting baby boom on their TS clone?

So I purchased one of these, which will be arriving tomorrow.

For some reason I've had a huge urge to buy a TS in the last few weeks.

I opted for this due to the price and was quite impressed by the demos I've heard.

Probably gonna sand the finish back and make it raw metal... love unfinished pedal boxes.

Well, I think it sounds pretty good, and quite versatile for a tubescreamer.

Sanded off the graphics, looks proper boutique now hahaa.

Heh heh. Good cork sniffing.

You'll get no hate from me regarding TSs though

I didn't like the graphics, what more can I say ?

I don't mind telling folk that it's a budget pedal... I have no issues with that.

What would you choose given the choice ?

I'd draw a picture of the proletariat on the pedal so that every time I stomp it... I'm oppressing the masses with my fascist foot[/Orwellian paraphrase joke tenuously shoehorned into a guitar thread]

I bought their Muff clone from the same series. It's the loudest goddamn pedal on the planet.

Is their compressor a Dyna Comp copy? If so I may buy one when I can.
