Ya know, I almost kinds of find it appealing-ish... but at the same time, I find myself revolted. I almost thought it would be worth getting for the neck, then I remembered what he did to it :(

That's what I assumed, yeah.
Really, that's the part of the mods that I find the most revolting, and simply do not understand. Ever want your guitar to look like a cheap shitty ottoman from the 70s?? Here's how!

That poor Mustang.

Anytime the thread title puts "customized" in scare quotes, nothing good will follow.

At least it's cheap, with a new body, neck and hardware you'd have something there. The seller doesn't seem proud of it if he describes it as "butchered".

He said the former owner did it. I like the copper. It looks a little like Narco Martenot's work, if he ate a whole bunch of mescaline products and laxatives. I would be fine with it if it were a Squier Strat. Which Mustangs were until the 90s.

I wonder if it was already broken. Look at this Waylon Jennings tele.

This looks like Charles Bronson went swimming at George Harrison's house in the spur of the moment and then had to borrow a bunch of his clothes for dinner.

That is disgusting! I like small travel sized guitars and tear shapes, but that was wrong to fuck up a perfectly good Mustang. The MF who did that should have both of his hands broken, his tools confiscated and sold at auction, then he should be banned for life from ever owning or using tools again.

for cheap enough, I'd get it, and transplant the hardware/electronics onto a Squier VM mustang.

The headstock reminds me of a hand missing half its fingers or something.

I can't explain this one sorry.
