Ampeg Gemini 12

Post by mkt3000 »

So... I don't have the $1,600 to buy my former 67 Deluxe Reverb. But I have access to the considerably cheaper amount ($250) to buy an Ampeg Gemini 12 that popped up on the local Facebook GAS group. Seller claims it's 100% operational, so that's a load off my mind.

Anyone here any insights or experience on this amp, before I drive two hours to go check it out?

Doesn't matter nowl, someone beat me to the amp. 2 hour drives have that effect.

So I got an equally sweet runner up prize (for even less borrowed moneys!) delivered to me :D a modded Fender Pro Junior in a Blues Junior Cab with a 12" speaker.

Unlucky you missed out on such a great deal. I've been hoping an old Ampeg would pop up over here for silly money, a Gemini ii is a dream amp of mine.

You always say P.R. has no gear but I see lots of evidence to the contrary. I want to go back there, I visted St. Croix via PR and it was niiiice

We have no new gear I want ;) There's a fair bit if used gear though that I like. Sometimes at good prices - sometimes at ridiculous prices.

Here's examples of some of the better deals currently in our Facebook group:

MIK Epi SG Faded - $225

Reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb - $600

80's MIJ Strat - $375

Gibson Marauder - $300

Wow, all great deals.

I am actually concerned about how obsessive I have become recently of selling and buying gear. I check craigslist probably 25 times a day. Unhealthy.

That Faded G400 is Chinese, not Korean.
