A few years ago Gibson took issue over the perfect body/headstock copies ESP used to make called the "EXP"... they sold those things throughout the 80s and 90s, I'm surprised it didn't come up sooner... I think that one is just Hetfield's new sig while they've replaced the regular EXP line with this design
