Original Fourteen MBM?

Post by rps-10 »

After finding yet another use for my MBM Saltbooster today I was wondering who of the original lot still has theirs and if not who does - if known?
It has to be one of the most useful pedals I've ever owned!

I have #5 "Fran" (yeah the blue LED is fucking blinding!!) and I bought it off Lorez so it's changed hands a few times at least that I know of.

Yup. I'd never sell it. Probably my favorite pedal.

My most prized pedal, I still use it and will never ever sell it. Probably my desert island pedal.

Yep, still got No.9 - not a pedal I will part with. Such a great fat boost.

Haha just reading through the thread again and it's brilliant. In the middle of all the fantastic work and brilliant community feeling and awe there is a little snide remark from Malik...Mike's response:

*sigh*

All you pansies and your purple LEDs.
Do you have any black led's, you know, that'll like, look darker and suck light in when it's on.

If there's any left over, stick them all in mine so that it lights up the room and people know I'm soloing.

I'll pay for the extra ones.

It'll be purpleiffic.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I should probably do something to commemorate my 5th year doing this.

BTW, I built pedals 482 and 483 last night. Nuts.

The numbering is only approximate since I built a lot before I started counting, but the initial Saltboosters were definitely included in my estimate.

You should make No. 500 out of gold or something. And probably keep for yourself.

What is the switch for?

..spray some lacquer over the base to preserve the ink.
