New guy with a pickup and wiring question

Hi,
I love the forum; its very helpful. I am a member over at OSG, but with my recent mustang project, I thought I would join over here, too. I bought a 66 mustang off of craigslist with a crappy refin and no original elctronics. The neck had an amazing birdseye, though, and it is getting refinished and refretted currently. I have a strat that has Lollar Dirty Blondes in it, and I was thinking about using the neck and middle for the mustang. They have non staggered poles, but the poles do stick up above the bobbin. The middle is 5.8K and the neck is 5.6K, and they have Alnico 2 magnets. Would they fit under mustang covers OK and function? I have some vintage black covers on the way, but don't currently have any to test them with. Also, does anyone have a diagram to make the first switch the pickup selector and the second one a phase selector? I will post some pics when i get my project going. welcome! pickup covers will work fine.
