Although it looks like it needs you bass to be routed for a strat trem cavity, so not quite a drop-in option. But it does make me wonder why this has never really been done before.
Most bassists aren't interested in trems, it doesn't have much use for standard bass line playing... Hell, even in the VI communities I'm part of, a lot of players don't like that the Fender VI has a trem. That said, there are many who use it to good effect, including those famous dudes like Jet Harris.
I doubt I'd get a trem unit on a 4-string; but I intend to eventually add a Bigsby B5 to my Schecter Ultra VI.
