Which Tele neck pickup?

Post by johnnyseven »

So I swapped my CAR Jazzmaster for a US Tele. On further inspection of the Tele I found that it has a single coil sized humbucker/stack pickup in the neck, however i'd like a regular single coil. I'm new to Tele's so don't know what's around in terms of pickups, is there anything people can recommend?

I have a twisted tele neck pickup in my Baja Tele and it's awesome. Highly recommend.

I love the nocaster/twisted tele combo in my tele. Both pickups together give me a semi!

Twisted Tele is the only one I've heard that's even halfway good. Most Teles have really wooly neck pickups on the neck only setting to my ears, a Strat unit would be better than most of 'em. Shame because the Tele bridge pickup was Fender's finest hour in that regard.

My Tele's got a GFS Fatbody bridge/Twisted Tele neck. Great mix, can't get a bad sound out of that guitar.

So... get a Twisted Tele on the neck. http://www.ebay.com/itm/390342131066 $52 + $5 shipping to the UK, can't beat that price.

Absolutely. Love the one in my Baja. I think the new US Standards have them too.
