Little lost with fuzz, as its all new to me.. but just did a little clip earlier so you can get the essence of what it does.

Very cool! Simple controls and good sound. Not much more you could ask for. :D

I've got an original Shin-ei Fuzz-Wah Companion that has the Superfuzz circuit in and this sounds bang on to me. Good work Tim. What transistors did you use? I've heard the circuit is pretty forgiving tranny-wise.

BTW I actually bought another 8TR cheap on ebay the other day from Spain. The internals match my Shin-ei but it sounds crap - dull and lifeless with no octave-up or detail. Any idea what I should check first to see what's up? If I get it working properly I'll be flogging the Shin-ei, don't need 2 of these.

Thanks plenty for demoing this Owen. It's already helped me sell another one!

Ben, it's got 6x 2N5088 in there, although I've used 2N3904 before with good results. For debugging your fuzz wah, there's a page listing the voltages, but it appears to be down. I'll have another look when I get a min.
