With luck I'll have one of these by the end of the week... read some really good things about it online and there is one locally for cheap.

The only bummer is that the pervious owner didn't like the faded or worn off lettering, so he painted/penned them in...

Yeah! Great score! I especially like Ampegs when they're tattered and grimy and half of the silkscreened labels are gone.
Means business.

That is seriously sexy. I regret not being able to get the Ampeg Gemini 12 a few weeks back (but I'm not willing to pay the grand the current owner wants to flip it for)

Such a dick move when someone takes advantage of a deal then trys to sell it on craigslist again. Have some class, at least pawn it on eBay where there's less chance the original owner sees it.

That's not a bummer about the lettering, it looks cool. On my '73 Marshall Super Bass someone's just written a downward arrow and "ON" under the power switch with black felt-tip decades ago, looks pretty hoopty by now.

This amp is badass. They go for a little under 500$ on eBay. Definitely a strong option if your thinking of a Bassman type amp. Great crunch ton, and a much more powerful EQ section than a Bassman.

U guyz dont like mah ampeg?

Update: took it to my tech and we fixed it together. Someone had added a bias and the power tubes were running really cool. Replaced the mod'd restisor and added new matched power tubes. Haven't used it yet since, but amp excited. It should get a cap job, but the 2nd channel is silent so I elected to save money.

Well, you didn't tell us what it cost you, so I'm not going to say "Holy Moses, what a great deal". But it looks good.

200$ + new tubes and work so around 300$ total. Which makes it less of a steal, but still a great giggable amp
