TGD lives up to its name

Post by mastermorya »

Over the weekend I played two shows and did some recording. On a few songs I use my TGD and it does what it does, and I loved it. But when recording, we split the signal from my guitar so that one line went to a DI box and into pro tools, and then the other line went into my pedal board and the amp to be mic'ed. Fine, whatever. But when we went back and listened, on the direct track, there were no effects, except when I hit the TGD, which completely pigfucked the otherwise clean direct signal. I thought it was hilarious and kind of awesome. Is this normal? Well it's not normal, but is to be expected?

you split your signal before it went into the pedal chain though?
