mustang bridge saddle screws

Post by michaeltullo »

mustang bridge saddle screws, anyone know what size they are?

i seemed to have lost one :fp:

it looks like maybe #3-20?? 2cm? i don't know, but home depot doesn't have it, i checked... home depot never has anything you really need.

if it helps, i got the bridge from dguitarparts.com, i'm waiting for a reply from lynn to see if she'll sell me like 20 of them, otherwise i'll have to buy 6 screws, 6 saddles and 6 springs, which i guess it wouldn't be the end of the world to have some spare parts!

but i'd also like to get the screw asap, and if i know what size it is i might be able to get 1... or 50 tomorrow

Bring the part to Fastenal. They are great. Usually they deal in orders in the multiple thousands, but if you need a couple weird sized screws for your guitar, they will take 15 minutes out of their day to fix you up.

fuck yes! i found one (two actually!!) at work this morning while looking thru a few bins of random screws from old typewriters and copy machines... it was just a little too long so i cut the fucker!

i was hoping to be able to inform the internet of the size if i was to actually have had to make a purchase, but unfortunately i still don't know...

i was gonna try fastenal after work today, not knowing yet that i had found a match, but those guys apparently work the same hours as me and also have weekends off. theres a bunch near where i live, but none in manhattan? where i'm working for at least the next week and a half.

It's probably M3, like most bridge screws tend to be.
