ok.. i didn't read all the posts..
But back to the original post, looks great. I think having a single pick up, plain an simple, that can be a cool thing. You may end up finding yourself trying different things, finding new sounds etc. and all that..
Enjoy it as is!

That's the plan. I just got a Jr, so I will have two guitars with just one pickup.

What amp & pedals are you using?
I really like mine both clean & dirty. Am running through a Fender Champ for the most part, with an OCD clone & Black Russian Muff on dirt duties.

Old tuners (lower) next to reissue ones. The older ones had shorter posts where the knobs connect.

See the mark on the guard where the serial number would be on a sticker? It is stuck to the body. This should mean that guard is the original one.

How's the neck feel? Looks similar to the neck on my 1973 Bronco.

The neck is slightly wider than my Japanese necks, but still on the thinner side like I like it. Not as thick as a Mexican neck (when tend to me to be fairly big). Very nice. Only one knick on the neck and it is hardly noticeable. Excellent low action with no fret buzz. The frets are very small compared to what I normally use. The neck is glossy, but doesn't stick like my newer necks. Much softer feel. the pickup has good jangle and if you back the treble off, it warms up well. Doesn't get muffled until it is almost all the way down. good sustain. All around winner.

All these hot musicmaster photos are making me miss my old friend a bit. Thought if I had to chose I would still keep my Bronco over my old Musicmaster. If I ever get her back, I will fix up the neck. I am excited you got suck a nice guitar.

Thanks! I appreciate it. It would be fun to have a Bronco also. I hear they are nice and the tremolo system seems unique and interesting.

Definately. I can't wait to get home and put some new strings on and play around.

Lovely guitar. Looks like the serial number sticker has come unstuck from the guard and stuck to the body face down. Weird.
