The Seasick thread....
(Here:

... inspired me to give it a go.
The results, with whatever bits a pieces I had to hand or left redundant in the garage.

I might need this can of tinned tomatoes later though.
It was fun !!!

Haha, cool.
Might make one myself. Are you supposed to leave the food in the tin, does it improve tone/sustain?

Is that the long-scale or short-scale version?

Thanks, it's as it comes. Ghetto style.
That was the first time I'd plugged it in. Took about 1hr to build after finding the bits and pieces.

Er.. that was a serious question about the food in the can you know. I need to know if it effects tone etc.

What kind of tonewood did you use for the plank? I hear mahogany is warm and full sounding...

Probably Fran, I think the food in the tin adds a rich, juicy, saucy tone.

2x4 Woody wood. Gibson sent it to me, so I'm sure it's the best.

I asked for the Richlite stuff.... you know Gibsons version of paper mache, but they'd run out. It was all used up on their recent Les Paul Customs.

Yes... nice one but you should play it with a screwdriver not a pick just hit the string for added percussion.

Use a tin of stew for a more meaty tone...

I've seen the demos of your previous builds... it'll be the Stradivarius of the diddly bo world the Stradibo (tm).
