Crazy relic/outdoor guitar art

Post by cobascis »

On my craiglist, some dude has a tele that has been hanging on his barn (outside I assume, exposed to rain and everything. In Vermont, for 10 years...)

He says its probably a squier, but it looks like an MIM to me? Neck is pretty far gone..

I think it's a Squier, all right. It's almost worth it, if only for the rusty parts. The body is likely crap wood, and the whole thing is probably warped, rotten, and ruined. But it would be interesting to see what could be done with it. I wonder if anyone will get him down to FREE.

Dear God that Tele looks terrible, yet I cannot resist thinking about buying it just to see if it can be brought back to life

The description from this thread makes it sound like Billy3000's Bronco that looked like it had been sitting at the bottom of the ocean for a decade.
