I sold the 1979 Vibro Champ I bought a short time ago to a friend who fixes gear. He fixed it up, but only to improve usability/stability, to restore it, and only using what he had around the house for spare parts (ie- the speaker). He posted a thread on another forum (and I translated to English)- here it goes

Rob sold me this project:
1979 Fender Silverface Vibro Champ, the blackface was one of the most popular amps in the 60's. In 1964 CBS bought Fender, and in 1967 they decided to give the Vibro Champ a more modern appearance, and from there came the silverface, which fortunately retained its original circuit without major changes. It's the predecessor to the famous Bronco amp, which is a rebadged Vibro Champ. Although it's a modest amp (6W RMS), the Vibro Champ shares many boutique amp characteristics: 100% hand wired, tll-tube-circuite, all made in USA, great tone
This one needs LOTS of TLC. Broken speaker, they added a tweeter (don't know what for), the front panel is rotten and cracking, rust and dirt all over

When Rob said that the speaker would "break just by touching it" he wasn't exaggerating:

LOL. My work filter only blocks imageshack and facebook. Thankfully IMGUR is legal, so that's what I use for my own pics.

I am happy that flickr works with the filter because that is how I host all of my picture stuff.

Very nice work. What's an HH speaker doing in Puerto Rico?! Would like to hear it, and through an external cab.

IIRC, it came out of a Laney LC15 that now has a 12" speaker and resides in a larger cab. You can see that thread here:
