Jansen guitars?

Post by stewart »

never heard of these before. made in new zealand in the '60s, apparently.

there's a model called the jazzman which looks pretty cool. the guitarist from die! die! die! plays one.

Fairly boss-like, the jag strat XII is the main standout

Not a fan here. The hardware looks like it's made of stamped kitchen foil and the control switches remind me of the Italian Futuramas. Usually I like drek, but these look like junk.

They do look like their made of tin foil... but I think the jazzmunter is quite cool looking.

They look really cool. I love the fiesta 12 string jag'd up strat. Will keep an eye out for these. Are Jansen of any reasonable quality? They look like they could be a bit pony at first glance.

Can't really speak to the quality. They're pretty thin on the ground and whenever they come up for sale people want silly money for them.

Old Jansen amps are great though.
