My dad has an ipad that he never uses. What apps do you guys use on it? i have moog filtatron and amplitube. Been thinking of getting animoog, and if I really like it, buy a midi interface to use a keyboard with it. Anyone uses one live?
The animoog, korg apps and reasons figure are all fun. GarageBand has its uses as well. I have a irig midi but any camera kit adapter will work to connect a midi controller

That is good to know about the camera adapter. I am about to buy the iRig Stomp and that would save me money if I want to add a Midi controller.lorez wrote:The animoog, korg apps and reasons figure are all fun. GarageBand has its uses as well. I use Amplitube and Amplitube Fender.

That's the kind of stuff I want to use. Can it still be charging with the camera adapter? and what about latency when playing with a midi keyboard?lorez wrote:The animoog, korg apps and reasons figure are all fun. I was thinking this might be a good buy, since i don't really need midi

most of the apps will allow for you to set things up for latency so that shouldn't be a big issue. for the adapter you could get something like this instead of the over price apple one

As for keys any midi controller would do, find something that suits, I don't like mini keys but some people do. The M Audio and Korg make some good cheap controllers. You just need to make sure they are class compliant for the apps.
One thing I found in the recent update from animoog is I can now use it as a synth controller for my R3 or computer. This is great given the way you can plot the way the sounds revolve on animoog on its x/y pad.
