NGD: 1967 Ric 450 Sonic Smith Tribute

Post by DGNR8 »

Nothing about this guitar is original or vintage, except the body and TRC. The pickups are 70s Gibson tarbacks, and everything else is new. The 450 feels like a feather weight maple SG. This specimen started as a 12 string. I didn't convert it--I just cleaned it up and painted it. Because of the headstock mods, I went with black instead of natural. There are seam marks where the ruts were filled. There is also a finish seam along the back (shown in the tree and sky reflection).
