Power supply question

Post by cstewart »

I'm completely new to stomp boxes, having only had a guitar for a couple months, so I'm pretty much clueless. I just bought a couple of the mooer pedals and they specify a center negative power supply. Is this unusual? I got the black secret and the shimverb pedals and I'll probably get a big muff or something similar eventually. I want to make sure I can run them all together.

Would something like this work?:

Centre negative 9V 2.1mm is the standard boss style connector. Your mooers will be fine on most supplies.

That one will be fine but add up your Mooer pedal consumptions: 400ma isn't all that much if you have something digital like the Shimverb.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll go for the 1 Spot instead. 1700 mA seems like it would be enough for pretty much anything.

yep, 1spot is enough for tons of pedals. Some pedals don't like being daisychained, digital stuff, like the line 6 pedals, some ehx digital pedals, and some boss (rc, re20...)
