Post by finboy »

Image

more pics and info to come tomorrow, I have been hunting this specific amp down for over two years and I FINALLY bought it from my favorite musician (Matt Good). Right now it is sitting in my buddy's place in vancouver, waiting for me to grab it next weekend.

more details when I get more pics tomorrow ;-)

BEHOLD!

So here it is, one of the two tone masters used to record many of Matt Good's Albums, and toured with extensively, I can't wait to get it back here to try it out :D:D:D

He sells his gear once in a while, but he really thought twice about his a couple of times. I think the breaking point was when i met him last year, and gave him the "millennium falcon" moment. Matt's favourite movie of all time was "brazil" and I found a company that reproduces the mask used for Michael Palin's character, limited run of 50, I scored 2, adam savage of myth busters has one of the others. When I gave it to him, he went from typical rock star meeting fan (thanks for coming out, what can I sign for you?) to a kid on Christmas 1977 opening the big present and finding the millennium falcon. He told me about how he wouldn't date girls when he was younger unless they got the movie, how the video carmalina was based on the movie, how his wife would be creeped out by the mask, etc.

I will post some pics of the thing later, awesomely grotesque. I used mine for Halloween this year and won "creepiest costume" at the party by a mile.

I had a similar experience with a "rock star" and you pretty much nailed it.

Looks great!

Not faulting him for it, if I was tired and had 100+ fans to meet and greet, I probably would have been an asshole, he was polite but clearly wanting to get some sleep. I was happy I could actually give him a moment of unexpected happiness in an otherwise monotonous day.

It's good stuff, terry Gilliam directed, deniro has a small role, make sure you get the euro cut of it though!
