Guitar goes into the loop pedal.NickS wrote:Awesome. Would you like to give us a guide to how you have that set up?
Loop 1
Just the Polytune
Loop 2
PS-6->DSD-2
Loop-3
NS-2-(send)->CS-1->VF-Z->BSD->Made By Mike Dream Box->FDD->HZD-(return)->NS-2
Loop 4
Big Bad Wah
Loop 5
Hummingbird->DC-2->BF-2->LGP->DM-2->DD-2
out of the loop pedal is....
FRV-1->EH-2->PN-2-amps
Running stereo between a Blackstar HT-5 and a Epiphone VJ.
I swapped out a TU-2 for the Polytune, and as the Polytune is TBP, it's pointless having it on one of the loops, so I'll probably change this at some point. Waste of a good loop. I'm also having a Dingotone BSD/FDD/HZD trippler built to make some space, and free up some 9v space. I have been considering MBM IC Muff, as I rarely use the Dist2 side. Then I'd have plenty room for the Klone, and no more swapping. I currently has no cashmonies to spunk on gear though /sadface.

Ha ha. Yeah. I don't even play live! And if I did then sack carrying that thing around. I was just trying to build an 'ultimate' board, possibly more from a recording point of view. Something that had everything I'd ever need. If I did start playing live again, I'd severely scale this down, especially with regard to the distortions. I like what they all bring to the table, and in this case I can satisfy my every whim.NickS wrote:Thanks. Wow. You clearly like your Dingo and a bunch of different distortions!
Dingotone HZD - Great boost. Considered having an 'always' on one set at normal volume as this pedal brings a certain sparkle to you're tone like no other. I highly recommend this one.
Dingotone BSD - Excellent transparent overdrive. Exactly what I want.
Dingotone FDD - This got swapped in and out for an old Japanese Boss DS-1. Eventually I found a sweet spot on this pedal that gave me the oomph I was looking for.
Dingotone VFZ - What a fuzz pedal should be. Probably my favourite pedal ever.
MBM Dream Box - Well some of you will already know this one. I love the IC Muff side. Really good fuzz, loads of sustain. The Dist2 on it's own isn't as much to my taste. Both together is an awesome wall of sound, and very much does the 'Siamese Dream' sound. If the Dist2 side was changed so it was more to my taste, that 'Siamese Dream' sound would be lost. I like the 'Siamese Dream' sound. As I mentioned earlier, I think I might replace this with just the IC Muff when funds allow. That being said, I'll probably never sell or trade this pedal. If I was making a smaller board, it would be one of the front runners for 'main dirt' as it's a good size and pretty flexible.
Fredric Effects Klone (wasn't pictured) - I love how it adds just a pinch of grit. It adds a sparkle similar to the HZD, but not the same. The HZD is a pure clean boost and will only dirty up a tube amp. But that's down to the amp and not the pedal. The Klone dirties itself up just enough, and the added sparkle I love. It also has a HUGE amount of potential boost.

todays little project was to mount a handful of pedals to this ikea board i've used in the past ready for gig-ness when it arrives.
having to run the wah in the loop as i need to replace the switch again, so its hard wired on. plus i can set it for a nasal tone and just click it in and out.
the polytune i can't mount yet. it's got a single big ass screw in the middle of the pedal that i can't find a longer version of as yet.

I think they are really good. The Black Secret is a really cool little pedal, sounds like it should (Rat/Turbo Rat). The Phaser is quality. Chorus is perfect for what I like but it doesn't really go crazy if you stick everything on full, is pretty subtle - not a bad thing but not as versatile as some.Progrockabuse wrote:Nice little set up. What you think of them thom?
Delay is good, warm, usual analogue sound, just not quite enough delay time for me - too used to my Carbon Copy.
Overall I am well happy considering how much they were. Wouldn't hesitate to get more at that price.
Wow love your gear and the general vibe of your room. I could live there happily forever... and the horse could fulfil some of my needs.Goots. wrote:I don't remember the last time I posted in here, maybe when I got the space station.► Show Spoiler
How do you find the Sovtek ? One of my dream amps that !!
thanks man, I got the sovtek on ebay I think about 4 years ago. I lent it to my roommate about a year ago and he ended up losing one of the fuse caps while transporting it to his practice space. Huge bummer, I haven't been able to find a replacement. I've seen similar holders on ebay but I just ended up wasting money on some that didn't fit. I might just need to get it replaced with some modern type holder, though I'd much rather keep it stock. It's been so long since I've annoyed neighbors with it.othomas2 wrote:Wow love your gear and the general vibe of your room. here's my current guitar setup.
not perfect, but given the space i have to work with it's not bad. i'm due a new pedal case soon, might go for something slightly longer.
