So I got my first tele. It's a 1985 Fender Telecaster TL 72 MIJ

I got the guitar with those crazy yellow strings installed on it. I'll probably change them..eventually

What are the strings on the Jag too? They look like a really low gauge - I can hardly make them out.

Nice Tele, in that colour combo its got to be tuned to open G.

open G? nah...that's just on a standard tuning. The strings actually look "thick" with that yellowish coating on it. Anyway, I'll have to change that soon. The Jaguar's wearing invisible strings
oh by the way I'm being offered with a trade for a Squier VM Jazzmaster (in olympic white)

That tele is awesome, I really love the wood grain. Those strings are lame though.

My late father in law has/had a '74 sunburst. It's at my mother in laws and she keeps telling me to take it, but I kept refusing as I never really fancied a tele, but assumed I would one day. I re strung it a couple of weeks ago when I was last there, and REALLY enjoyed playing it.
Might not be long before it's finding it's way to a new home
