go for it man! my love for offsets never diminished with having/keeping a tele, it only broaden my sense of perspective and tastegusman2x wrote:My late father in law has/had a '74 sunburst. It's at my mother in laws and she keeps telling me to take it, but I kept refusing as I never really fancied a tele, but assumed I would one day. I re strung it a couple of weeks ago when I was last there, and REALLY enjoyed playing it.
Might not be long before it's finding it's way to a new home

I actually love the rosewood fretboard. I know what you mean by the "classic look" with the maple neck and all but I also like it as it is. Check this video:ultratwin wrote:Nice score. Knowing it's an '80s MIJ is the coolest part of the equation.
However, the rosewood board is playing tricks with my eyes, not to mention all perceived classic telecaster thoughts in my brain.
Take it! My Tele is by far the guitar I use the most, and the driving factor behind selling 5 other guitars (my 333, dipinto, 2 strats, and the oddball devlin). It's just such a nice NICE guitar, I didn't see the need for so many.gusman2x wrote:My late father in law has/had a '74 sunburst. Sadly though, now my house looks like I'm a Fender endorsee, since there's nothing else.

I also own mostly Fender/Squier guitars and it makes me feel like a walking billboard for the companymkt3000 wrote:Take it!
