The Creature v2.0

Post by HNB »

SKC and I did a trade and the creature is coming my way. It sounds from him like it needs a new paint job, pickguard, and maybe a toggle. (And a possible dowel repair for a drilled hole.)

Since I need to get a new pickguard for it because of the paint, I think I will go ahead and put WRHB's in it instead of Jazzy pickups. I have a Jazzy already and I miss my guitar that had WRHB's. The neck pickup of those is an excellent pickup.

Anyways, here are some colors I was thinking about using. Let me know if there is a color combo shown that jumps out at ya. :)

I will when it arrives. It was green originally. SKC painted it red he says. :) Once it arrives I will do that.

Oh another reason for the no tort is I have a Jag with tort so I was thinking something different would be nice. :)

Charcoal/black, silver/black, or sonic blue/black. In that order.

Charcoal/Black, though my vote doesn't seem to have registered.

Strange. I just tried and it worked. Charcoal would be fun. I haven't painted a guitar that color yet.

It looks like they are being registered as Oly White/White - I'm not seeing any Charcoal votes...might just be me though.

I just clicked white to see if it would work. I didn't try charcoal.

none of those really tickle my fancy, tbh. i thought the charm of the guitar lay with the jazzy pickups and un-fender green paint, but if it's not what you want.........

i'd probably go for white with black guard.

I've always wanted a Jagblaster, so let me know when you sell... :D ... seriously !! Too lazy to do this.

Sure they're both Inca Silver ? I voted Inca Silver / White. But in reality I would say Shorline Gold / Mint.

I hear tell it is red. :) I will do my best to make it awesome, but also make it something that I will enjoy. I have nothing against Jazzy pickups, but I have a Jazzy. I don't have something to hit that WRHB itch. ;)

I built a guitar almost identical to this one not that long ago. I started out as CIJ Jaguar HH. I added the Jaguar tremolo. I had a WRHB in the Bridge and a AVRI Jag pup in the neck. It had a Gibson switch in the first position, second switch was for out of phase and strangle switch in the third switch. Sounded great but a little heavy. I ended up trading it for my CAR Compstang RI. WRHB is one of the only HBs I like.
