You have no idea what to mod? Why do you want to mod it? When you think, cyclones are not cool, and you don't know what to change to make it cool for you, you should sell it...

Just play around with some pots and pickups . You'll figure the sound you want ..

The actual Fender Cyclones seem like they're getting harder to find, so if you're not sure you like it, why not just sell it to someone who'll enjoy it and then you can find something you do like? Now, if it's the Squier version, they're readily available, so do your worst. :)

??Same as OPs guitar?
Or, more likely, modded Cyclone II perhaps?

It is a modded regular cyclone that I picked up here. This is what it looked like when I got it.

I stripped it, repainted it, and got a custom guard made for it.

Then (much to the pain and complaint of many here), I reliced it. :) I like it a lot. Very comfortable. Satin finish and worn in.

It still basically works the same as a Cyclone. I wired the middle and bridge pickup together like a humbucker and the neck is alone so the toggle works: Neck > All Three > Middle and Bridge in Series. 250k pots are in it. Normal stuff.

Looks great. Very clever with the pickup switching as well.
