That is the joy of a simple circuit tube amp!!!!..... the less tone controls, the simpler the circuit, the more comes thrurobroe wrote:each one of my guitars i play thru it sounds completely fucking different. its nuts.
this thing though lets the character of the guitar come out alot more. some guitars break up quicker, my mustang bass hardly breaks up at all.

Your bass doesn't break up because it's got a low-output pickup and 250k pots. My AV '50s Strat is the same way when I plug it into my Marshalls or Champ, whereas my Jaguar (JB Jr into 1meg lead circuit) or humbucker guitars with 500k pots scream through the same setting... and my Tele which has an AV '60s pickup and 250k pots is about halfway between; clean and jangly like the Strat, but if you pick harder you get a lot of gain coming through due to the higher output/midrange spike of the pickup over the Strat's. That's why all your guitars sound different, they all have slightly different values on components/pickups here and there. A booster makes things so much more fun, IMO. They pretty much replaced distortion pedals for me in the home/recording environment.robroe wrote:each one of my guitars i play thru it sounds completely fucking different. its nuts.

I'm excited for you, sounds like you're enjoying this thing... it was a long time before I got a true tube amp that had these sorts of qualities too, that was definitely a months-long honeymoon. And your Fiesta Jag is so bangin'.
