Wow so cool. Is the year right though? I had a 95 Mustang and it had a MIJ label this one is CIJ. I thought those came later?

Who cares though sweet guitar/good price.

It could be. The color isn't listed in the listing. I didn't know if they made a comp OTM. I guess I will have to wait and see when it gets here. :)

Yes.
To be fair, I honestly didn't think it would go that cheap. I saw it at $600 and was like, what the hell, I will toss a bid in, and no one bid over me. LOL

Seriously, a basically mint comp Mustang with matching headstock, case, and tags for $610? Insane!

Kind of mine too. I would be dishonest if I said the Nirvana connection had nothing to do with my affection for competition Mustangs. :) I always kind of keep an eye out for those and finally got one that is pretty close and in good shape.

I think the year is probably wrong. It is most likely newer I am guessing. People get thrown off because of the weird way Fender Japan does their serial numbers. LOL

It's a 2006 - 2008 serial and definitely OTM, an option for Fender Japan.
Looks like a beauty.

Nice. I asked the seller if the paperwork they have had the color on it or not. Will be easier to tell when it arrives. :) I found the same info on the serial. :)

From looking at the Fender Japan site, I am guessing it is Ocean Turquiose Metallic. That seems to match the color look best. Looks like it is discontinued?

On Fender Japan it has red text under it saying discontinued. It also says orange is discontinued as well. Just Fiesta Red, Old Candy Apple Red, Vintage White, and Old Lake Placid Blue.

Thanks! I am excited to see it in person. The seller did a great job getting good pictures of it.

I agree! Makes a big difference on ebay when you have good pictures. I see the dust under the strings at the headstock and behind the bridge, but still looks wonderful. Pretty perfect looking otherwise. :D
