Warmoth paintjob

Post by Awstin »

Thinking about having Warmoth paint me a guitar body. How quick are they and how good are their quality? Anyone get anything finished by them? I would be sending them a body

They only paint their own bodies. I have asked them about finishing a body for me before. (They are down the road from me.)

I have had a few done by a local guy who does hot rods and bikes. He sprayed them, clearcoated, buffed all for $80 each, in colors he was already spraying.

Nah, bro. Quality control, process predictability, all better when you're in control from start to finish.

Yeah. Somewhere there is a room full of Warmoth employees, buck naked, three-tone sunbursting themselves.

They won't do it, and it'd be poly if they did. Mark Jenny at MJT finishes is very good.

Some guitar painters only take in fresh raw bodies. They don't wanna deal with your bullshit factory finish. And they charge in the $250 for nitro finishes.
