Beautifully horrendous trainwreck. I like it.

I think it's pretty cool; despite the Fendery influences it has a total early '60s department store vibe to it like an old Airline or Teisco, probably due to the small body. Very interesting. I definitely would've tweaked the bass side of the pickguard more though, maybe put a dip in it where the waist in the body is. As is it looks a bit too much like somebody took a bandsaw to a Duo II in the '80s... I like it overall though, and it wins a lot of points immediately with me just being a new shape.

Good call on the staggered machineheads too, I'm beginning to hate string trees more and more.

Here's V1.1:

Image

Rear routed for controls, not forearm contour but the back contour is already done, probably no picguard but maybe a minimal pickguard-undecided on that so far. Not sure of the finish yet either, maybe untinted clear but the korina looks good with a little amber or honey added too. Back, maybe a red tint on the spanish cedar. I'll have to experiment a little.

It's pretty heavy, I'm thinking I should have chambered it, too late now.

That's a cool shape with a special character, small but punchy!
