I got this in trade this last month. It arrived today from Australia!

The body.

Sweet magnet. (Part of the trade. :))

Opened it up to look at the wiring and to get the bridge ground wire for the series mod. It had treble bleed already installed.

Noticed the jack could use some solder.

Started to work on the switches.

Series mod completed. (Since it didn't have claws on the pickups, it made it perfect for this mod. No worries about the pickups being part of the pickup wiring.)

All put together. (Needs strings.)

It does need a better tort. LOL Traded the Riviera. Lovely guitar, but no matter how beautiful I can't seem to bond with set necks.

Wow! Congrats man, that neck looks lovely! Maybe a little too shiny for my liking, how's she play? I've been thinking of sanding down my jap jag's neck; I really like a satin finish but I dunno if I dare sand it down in case I either a) Ruin it by doing a shit job or b) miss how it feels already.

It plays really well. I like satin necks also, but I don't like sanded necks. (I have one that is sanded.) It is ok, but feels weird to me because I am used to my gloss necks. Nice medium to low action with no buzz, the series mod is EXCELLENT with Jaguars. If my other two didn't have claws, I would do it to them as well.

New Pickguard Day! (This is from Mr. Putter also over in Australia. :)) Another stock Japanese guard, but (while still printed) it is much more red.

I remember seeing that guitar on Gumtree a while ago (I live in Geelong) and was tempted to buy it just for the neck.

Glad to see it went to a good home :)

It is definitely nice and red. For stock Fender Japan stuff, it is pretty nice really. Only notice the print work up close.

The neck was totally what pulled me to this guitar. It plays really nice. :)
speedfish wrote:Damn, that neck is sexy as hell!
Agreed. Nicest flame neck I have seen in person.
Hurb wrote:Needs a white guard on. That tort ain't got no alibi
I have tried white and mint on sunburst as well as black and it doesn't do much for me. (I seem to like the look on other people's guitars though...)

It is killer. All over the thing. Even the front of the headstock. Crazy.
