Sad supermarket-related gear buying news...
It had come to my attention over the last couple of months that:
a) Tesco no longer do Tesco Value 9v batteries, the fuzz aficionado's battery of choice, and...
b) Grolsch bottle tops no longer have the clay stopper with handy straplock washer attached, and instead now have regular bottle tops. I've been to three off licenses and a big Waitrose, and could find no bottles with the old style Grolsch fastener.
On a lighter note, however, I've discovered you can buy exactly the same washers from homebrew supply companies for cheaps, so no longer have to drink hideous, hideous Grolsch.

I struggled to find the old style Grolsch bottles too but eventually tracked them down to my local Morrisons.benecol wrote:b) Grolsch bottle tops no longer have the clay stopper with handy straplock washer attached, and instead now have regular bottle tops. You would still have to drink the stuff though.
Will check out the homebrew suggestion as I need some more. Do they do different colours?
not to sound too middle class but you can get the rubber washers on some olive oil bottles as well. Or do what I do, go Ikea and nick them off their bottles with the same fixtures. in fact I often just go to Ikea for these, pencils and a hot dog
