Rumors over at OSG

-Pawn Shop Super-Sonic, Rosewood Fingerboard, Apple Red Flake
-Pawn Shop Super-Sonic, Rosewood Fingerboard, Dark Gunmetal Flake
-Pawn Shop Super-Sonic, Rosewood Fingerboard, Sunfire Orange Flake

Suppose to be introduced at NAMM 13. I was skeptical at first until the poster who broke the Squier Jags/JM/Stangs started posting as well. I suppose there is still some doubt but wow. Sunfire Orange is totally mine.

That looks pretty cool, but for some reason, I can't get that excited about the Super-Sonic. It just looks like an upside down Jagmaster to me. I'd rather they put out a new version of the Duo-Sonic II.

I, too, wish that they had changed the strat trem for a hardtail of some sort. And moved the 3-way.
Maybe the orange, but I'm not psyched. And if they are going to sell for $800, you could buy an original instead which I believe is cooler.
I hope that it somehow makes the original ones cheaper. Because I want a few more.
Maybe they, like the originals, will fail horribly and will be on sale within two years for $300! Is it wrong to hope for that?

If the posts on OSG are correct, the necks will have a 9.5 radius with medium jumbo frets.

The nuts are 2mm wider too: 42 vs 40.

The right colour choice would have distracted me from everything that comes up short (for me). I'm hopeful for the orange.

Will need some modding to get it back to original spec. A mint-green guard against the sunfire orange sparkle will be badass!

Wow, looks like an overcooked modern player coffee table. Dreadful.

Bass VI is cool though.

Both pickups angled works better visually. There, I said it. Be nice to see an option with hard tail or jag trem

I wonder if Fender has seen the ridiculous price that super sonics are going for on ebay then
