Entwistle Nemesis AFG Humbucker + Offers

Post by Thom »

I've spent a lot of money on pickups over the years and am a big fan of Bare Knuckle, but have been rather impressed with the Entwistle Nemesis (which like the Dimarzio Crunch Lab has got one rail coil and one regular polepiece coil) I bought a few months ago and stuck in my LP copy.

Today I have found that they have made the Nemesis AFG which is the same sort of thing, but rather than a fully ceramic pickup, it mixes one ceramic coil with one alnico coil. Sounds interesting so just ordered myself one!

Also, if you're looking for pickups, check out their eBay store at the moment, they have got a few offers such as Strat single coil set for £15 and PAF humbucker set for £29. Really impressive pickups for the price.

I'm tempted to get one for my Les Paul copy, the pickups in it could do with a kick up the guff.

Having replaced pretty much every pickup in all my guitars at least once I have to say that these are impressive for the price. I like the original Nemesis, if higher output is your thing. Plenty of punch.

I use their single coil Strat sets. Really amazing quality for the money.

Hi Thom!

I have been using the regular Nemesis set for a while. How does the Nemesis AFG compare to the regular Nemesis with regards to output and warmth?

Hey, welcome to Shortscale!
Afraid you will have to wait for a while before I can answer as I'm currently living in China and the new pickup is waiting for me in the UK! Going back for a visit at the end of Feb and I'll install it then, probably replace the regular Nemesis in my LP so I can get an accurate comparison.
