3 pick-up Jag

Post by Jamesstarky »

I'm in the process of putting strat pups in my Jag. Previously its been looking like this, with Quarter Pounder and a Hot SDs.

Now its looking more like this; with a temporary cardboard scratchplate while I decide on the best position before I get a tort one made.

That was when I installed a rotary switch, but then decided I missed having up/down switches to mess with, so I reinstated the lower control plate.

ooh, it has a bit of a framus look to it now (without the huge metal plate).

edit: looks more jag-like with the reinstalled switch plate, right enough.

If anyone is interested in the wiring, the 3 lower switches are on/off for the pups, like a Cyclone I guess. but the upper switch puts the neck&middle in series like a humbucker, which is cool. Although its not a separate circuit, coz I've not connected the upper vol&tone to it yet, but i think I can. I'm going to live with it and maybe try the bridge&middle in series. I'm sure I can't have both series options with just one switch.

here is a diagram:
