That Excelsior doesn't really seem loud enough to gig with.

I'd go for a used Hot Rod or Blues Deluxe if I didn't have time to hunt for a deal on something nicer. Easy to find, easy to service. Very versatile and reliable.

I've been told the Excelsior gets loud... in fact, the statement was "too loud", but Rob may have a better handle on it.

na its not too loud.
my 100watt hybrid fender perfomer 1000 is fucking loud

in the video
my PA main was on 7 and the aux channel the music was coming out of was on 5. so like it was loud but the PA wasn't clipping or anything.

If i mic'd the amp at full volume i would be alot louder than the aux channel though

it breaks up alot farther into the volume knob than say a blues jr or a champ though

its nowhere near a Bassman 50 playing thru a full sized cab
