Ya know, a G&L style dual-fulcrum term would make the Supersonic even more awesome.. And set it apart from the Squier more.

It just blows my mind that Fender goes, "Oh, well shit people really loved the Supersonic, let's go put them out again! But wait, obviously everyone was wrong when they said the necks were one of the best features of them, let's change them!"

The Supersonic was awesome because the neck width was small and pretty perfect. They are fucking them up by doing this.

Yeah, fuck me too. Surprised, but I am starting to like the looks of it with both pickups slanted better than the original SS. I definitely dig the 9.5" radius fret board over the 7.25" of the original.

The original had a 9.5" radius fretboard as well.

Are you certain?

That extra 2mm pisses my small hands right off. I'd go for one eventually I recon, if they had the 40 mm nut. I know I'm probably in a minority though.

About 95% certain. I have no means to measure it but since I own one, and I own several guitars with necks that are actual 7.25", I'm almost positive of it.

Agreed. There was really two things that made the Supersonic awesome, the width of the neck, and the lightweight body. This eliminates one of the best aspects of that guitar by giving it a shitty "Fender Modern" neck. Fuck this guitar.

So they do three colours, and two are closer than the range of a sonic-blue Jag-stang. At least it's not the usually 3-tone sunburst, black and CAR, but they really can't manage to ever get the details right. They also say they're all new colours but only the red even has a new name.

What are those colors, anyway? I couldn't find that bass poking around on the Fender site.

Thanks. I'm tempted to do my next build in that blue color.

It's a Fender Japan colour, abbreviation OLB and called Old Lake Placid Blue or Old Lake Blue.

The last time I looked they had quite a few guitars on their website that used it. I've never seen it in person but it looks like it varies a hell of a lot. This Tele looks fantastic with it, though.

I wouldn't have had to fuck about with gay rulers if you hadn't started talking out of your ass saying shit you actually didn't know.

My thoughts EXACTLY.
