So I just got this for a pretty good price. Depending on how the finish is.. I am gonna put a new Mustang logo on it. Only problem I see with it is the neck screws went through the fretboard a little bit. I have seen this before quite a lot actually. But does anyone know of a way to make the holes look a little better or if there is a way to fill it? If not it's not that big of a deal really. And this is only my second vintage neck. What is a B neck like? Hopefully the frets aren't too bad as well. I have a set of new white button Kluson style tuners to put on it. Guess I will just have to get the modern to vintage conversion bushings though.

really? i've never seen it. presumably some idiot has put strat length screws through it. i'm sure you could patch it up with dark wood filler, mix it with rosewood dust, whatever.

Yeah. I've seen a few on offset and a few for sale on the bay.

OH DEAR GOD. For the holes you want to use, you can line them with toothpicks, and/or wood glue. It will fix it right up. For the one you want to fill, you may want to go to Michaels or Home Depot and get some maple hobby dowel sticks to fill in the holes. I would fill in the botched ones that are not aligned properly.
For the rosewood you can buy or find small pieces, splinters, or even dust, you can mix it with Superglue and pack it down in. Let it dry and add more dust and repeat until it's level with the top. Sand it down, and it may disappear completely. It's a pretty easy fix and makes it look a ton better.
