NGD: 2008 Taylor Solidbody prototype

Post by drew199321 »

Sometimes, it's good to have friends in high places ;)
Picked this guy up from a friend of mine for $1200. It's signed by Zak Brown. Has a total radiohead vibe, and sounds absolutely incredible. Currently only have a couple of photos

...seeing as some idiot scribbled on it and trashed the value of it as a rare prototype.... ;)

I always loved that natural finish on the Taylor Solidbody.

That's a cool guitar... always loved the look of the Taylor electrics until I seen the price tag.

Probably going to keep it the way it is now, maybe try to rub out the signature if I can.
besides that not much. My big issue with this guitar is how wide the fretboard is. Coming from an 80's musicmaster and a jagstang this neck has got to be the most jarring transition I've had in a while. It's gonna be a while before I can play it as well as I can play my JS.

also for the uninitiated here's Zak Brown. He owned the guitar for a while before I did.

even with a video there to see who he is, his name tips me off to where i know he's the kind of music i wouldn't give a damn about.
